Couple Questions.

1. How many of you are making over 600rwhp and are using 50lb injectors? At 622rwhp, my mass air is pegging.

2. Does anyone make a 55lb high impedence injector?

3. What would cause a truck to shut off sporadically, when cruising down the highway, as well as shift down into the passing gear when the cruise control is on, while you are on level road?

I am running the 55# Hi Impedence injectors (do not know the name brand though) that were flow tested.

I have 613 RWHP/705RWTQ .

Never had a cutting out problem and I drive my L alot, but I also run the ProM 95 mm maf.

You can call JDM for more info on my set-up.

Thanks Vinnie. I have a very elaborate fuel system that I believe is the culprit for my "cutting out" problem.

Red,
Will you also be switching to a 95mm mass air meter?

outnumbered,

I'm runing 55lb high impedance injectors also. When I ran my 42 lb injectors with my set up my truck would cut out and it also did it on the dyno. The graph showed a hp climb then it cut out and started right back up.

I am running 50's in my truck, I think Hdmlnium is also

I personally like the 50's better
I feel they are better for a dailly driven truck like mine.

What are you gapping you plugs at??

The fuel may be blowing the spark out.

Don,
I have no idea where they are gapped. However, the reason for changing to 55's is not for the cutting out problem. We are doing it because the mass air meter is maxed out at 622rwhp. I see that you are at 635, so I'm not sure what is making my truck different from yours.

As far as when the truck shuts off, my wide band makes a progressive climb to 20:1 under normal driving, which leads us to believe that my fuel pump is not working correctly. I believe that it is strictly for a racing application, and is overworking itself under normal driving. I will be installing 2 255 pumps this week to hopefully eliminate the problem.

Thanks,
Ron
