Loose Plug?

I just changed my plugs recently keep in mind. I just took a 1 1/2 hour drive to my friends college. As soon as I came off the freeway, and it came to an idle, it started shaking like crazy. Im thinking maybe its a loose, not blown, plug. As soon as I give it some gas, it smoothes out. I was thinking at first it could be a vacuum leak but i checked all the hoses and they were all good. I left it alone for the rest of the day and this morning I had it towed to the shop where I had the motor put in(luckily it was only 20 miles away). What do you guys think it could be?

I had a sound like an exhaust leak and i thought i had blown a plug. COme to find out it was the belt hitting the fan from the idler pulley locking up. Hope it works out for you

misfire is my guess

One of the coils isn't seated properly or you dislogded one of the injector connecters.

I've seen this on quite a few late model Ford engines. If it happened during city driving, I'd say it's a misfire. Under these specific circumstances though, I think it's something else.

If this happens at the first stop you've made after a long highway drive at fairly constant throttle, it's the result of carbon build-up in the EGR valve. The carbon causes the valve to stick in the open position and the computer believes that it's closed so it doesn't adjust for the correct air/fuel mixture and you end up running lean. If the engine stalls or if you rev it, this will create enough vacuum to free the stuck valve and return the air/fuel mixture to normal. The EGR valve should only be open at cruise, not at idle or during acceleration.

Like I said, if this happened after a long highway drive, it's just a fluke. Your engine is fine.

I got that problem before. I was having fun then later on I smell burnt oil smell.

the engine starts shaking a very low throttle. I hav eto give it 50-75% throttle to stop the shaking. I ended up breaking a valve spring/plug.
