Help.. picking up my Lightning

in the a.m. from the original owner. Is there any special material that came with the truck when new besides the owner manual?
Video tape or special Lightning key fob etc.? Thanks

There should be a "birth certificate" that SVT should have sent the original owner in the mail that should say what number of 6381 the truck is assuming it's a 2001 by your sig.

You also may or may not have the special locking lugnuts,
and the tamper proof Spare tire lowering system. IF so,
make sure you get those wrenches.

EDIT: Oh yeah ... Welcome to the site ...

Just as a side note : The original Owners Guide Supplement that they supplied with most 01's was actually an 00 Supplement.
You had to contact SVT and get them to mail you the 01 Supplement guide with the 01 specs in it. Of course this is assuming it is an 01 that you have purchased.

Congrats on your new ride.

That cassette is about $80+ from Ford. But you can get one off Ebay for about $20.00. When I got my truck Monday, I didn't know it was gone.

I noticed in your sig that you own a 1970 Lucerne Blue T/A. That's just Bada$$!!!

I own a 1969 Firebird 400 that my father and I restored together my first year in college(13 years ago).

Congrats on the purchase of your L! You'll love it!

Take it easy,
Rob

I got it and I just have one thing to say. This _ ucker rocks!!Let the mods begin. By the time I get home on Wednesday, all parts should be there waiting. Chrome rims, intake, 4# pulley and then a trip to the tuner.

Thanks, my T/A is a rocking car. The original 400 is on a stand. I built a full roller 476 c.i. poncho for it backed by a Tremec 5 spd. It gets the job done and looks good doing it.

Its good to see another GM owner stray from the darkside!

Congrats on buying the Lightning! If you think it runs good now, just wait till ya mod it! Its a daylight and dark difference in performance! Oh, put $$$ back for rear tires..........your gonna need a few sets soon after the mods!
