Just came back with the 03 Cobra

Well, its done. I said my final goodbye to the Red 01 L. I got the Black 03 with the the factory chrome wheels. The interior is not standard charcoal & Grey. I have charcoal & biege as my suede inserts. Looks nice. I'm getting it detailed and starting to list my immediate needed mods.

BTW, I will list all the parts I have for sale in the classified section this weekend. I do have a bunch of emails on people who have first dibs.

My garage is a disaster!!!! I want to thank Eric and Rich for helping me unmod my Lightning the other night. Rich thanks for Killians Red, Eric thanks for the Disalvo's.

I have a weekend to clean my garage, sort out the parts and take some pics of the stuff.

Congrats. The powertrains on those cars is amazing, I am still floored with the numbers people are putting out. Heck, theres an article in 5.0 Magazine where some guy is running 10's with the stock Eaton and stock block-WTF!!!!!

My ONLY concern is fit/finish/build quality with the Mustangs. There are just too many rattles and squeaks for my liking. I almost bought one a couple years back but decided to wait until I could afford a Lightning-a tough work tested platform that is built around durability. For speed though, there is no comparison-'03 Cobra's are the way to go.

Best of luck.

How do you like it compared to the Lightning. I also thought about trading my truck in on one in the summertime. I decided to hang onto the truck. Let me know how you like the Cobra.
Thanks, Shane

Prepare for the 'clunk/pop', the 'tick' in the rear when launching, and the rattles you didnt have in the truck!

I love both the car and truck, but the truck is MUCH more solid.

oh, and the rear brake pads leave FAR more dust on the wheel than the front. makes for a good nightly shining routine

congrats!

Hey I used to own a C4 and C5 Vette so squeaks and rattles are a factory option!!

I'm not going to drive the Cobra that often. I'm going to use my work pickup to go to and from home. The car will sit in the garage.

For now. I'm just going to do an upper& lower pulley. cold air intake, single blade TB and plenum, chip, hi-flow cats and catbacks and a new shifter.

The car should be plenty fast!!!

Neil- Anytime bro!

I have to say, after seeing the car last night. Wow. I am not a Mustang fan by any means, but that is one sweet azz car!

i wouldnt go that far, especially new

you need to wait to see what problems you are going to have... TOB, hub/halfshaft popping before you go and void your warranty.
