Stalling at start up

Recently had trouble with the truck so we had it trailered back to the house. Left it outside for two nights and went to start it up only to have it stall. Thick black smoke came pouring out the exhaust. Took about five tries to get her going...Could thishave something to do when getting the truck up and off the flatbed? It ran fine before. Any suggestions?

Leaky injector causing pooling in the cylinder making it a harder start, and soot being caused by a lot of extra fuel?

Just a guess... but we need more info

You say trailered back to the house.
As in towing Level, Old fashion Tow Truck, Flat Bed, what ?
I guess if it was put on any big angles going up and down a
flat bet or tow truck it could have got some stray oil somewhere
it didn't belong ??? Can't say for sure ???

Yea it was put on a flat bed...only went about 3 or 4 miles. It seemed to me that the angle when going up and down the trailer was around 80 to 90 degrees.

Fub:

With a flat bed the angle can be rather steep...this past Monday had my L towed to the dealer for a damaged trans pan...the angle you see here was a little steeper than when he first loaded it. The only thing I noticed after the tow was that my steering wheel is tilted slightly to the left...I assume that was due to the flat bed tiedowns.

Hey clonetek:

I did'nt say "It seemed to me that the angle when going up and down the trailer was around 80 to 90 degrees"...Fub did.
90 degrees and your set up for a space launch!...in fact no one has tried that yet. Hows everything going?

Maybe fub meant 45 degrees?...when the flat bed driver was ready he asked me to drive it up the ramp...I felt like I was on a rocket launcher...
