I found a 2001 L in Northeast OH. They want $20,990.00 for it. They've had it since about 9/28/03. It has 44K miles on it. Comes with a 6-yr. 75K miles warranty (Ford, dealer, aftermarket?). The salesman said it needs tires. In the pics I can see it doesn't have a bed cover. Also the engine is very dirty. I can't tell about the inside from the pics. It does have a clean Carfax. It's also 234 miles (www.cars.com) or 315 miles (www.mapquest.com) from me. So I can't just run down and look at it.

Or, I found a 2000 L about 20 miles from me. 41K miles. They want $20,995. It has (I think) a 6 month, 7500 mile warranty on the window sticker. Interior and exterior are clean. Has bed cover and new? tires. Intercooler recall fix done. They have had the 2000 since 11/4 and imported from Canada on 10/16.

Would love Speedin' Bob's. Have ridden in it. Seen it in action at IRP. Am debating with the accountant (which happens to be me ).

Did talk to dealer - didn't want to budge on price. Haven't asked Bob what he got for it. Was going to get Bob's '99 but dealer tried to short me 3K on my trade-in.

Did you have a different username when you got the frame? Did you get rid of L to get a Blazer at one time?

Looks like it. Also look at the brake booster, neg on the battery, the EGR valve.

Its very dirty.

If you do not plan on modding it and use some money for appearance type stuff the $20,900 seems like a good price. A good cleaning and zaino goes a long way. also a good changing of all the fluids and filters you should be O.K.
The warranty is only good if you do not decide to mod it.So if anything goes you will be protected.

Worth a look IMO.

I am in Northeast,Oh as well and am currently selling my 2001 Black L for $25,000. Has goodiea nd a warranty till 36,000. Truck has 22,000 miles on it now. Just throwing it out there@!

 

One thing to consider, the 01's and up have all the upgrades....3.73 gears,aluminum driveshaft,intake,innercooler,head and tail lamps, etc.
That Lightning doesnt look to have been taken care of very well, Id be leary until I saw it in person and drove it. Take your time, you can find a really nice one owner Lightning. Might cost ya a little more though. Good Luck!
