3M Fuel Injection Cleaning!

I just want to let you guys know about this stuff, if you don`t already.
I just performed the the fuel injector cleaning with the 3M cleaning kit on my 2000 Lighting. My truck only has around 24,000 mile on it and it made a huge difference. My truck accelerates more smoother and more rapid through the whole RPM range. You guys gotta try this stuff. I`m not talking about a "mechanic in a can" fuel tank additive. This type of service gets injected right into the fuel rail with a special hose. Sort of like recharging your A/C with the old R-12 cans. Look at the power I`m making in my sig. I`m going to the DYNO tommorow so I will get the after results and post them.

I haven't been able to find that system/kit. If I do, I'll certainly use it as it worked on Z281LE that I use to 'driver's school'.

My kit looks different, of course I bought it a few years back when I had my own repair shop. The kit cost me $100 and the pressurized can (chemical) cost about $15. I used to charge $55.00 for the service, and people used to praise how their car was running like new after. The motor should run on the chemical for about 15 minutes.

Yea, that's the kit I found at 3M a few weeks ago. Now, tell me where to buy it......... I emailed 3M about it and never heard back from them on a distributor, etc. I'm sure 3M only wholesales their products.

No, my Snap-on guy doesn't sell then. Snap-on has their own system which is for shop use, not consumer use.

I would love to buy it cause it(the theory) does work! You shut off the fuel pump and the engine runs on only the cleaner for a few minutes. The only better(IMHO) cleaning method is to pull the injectors and send them off to a shop.

Hey LIGHTNINGROD, They sell the kit in auto parts stores.
All you need is the special hose that has an on/off valve and the the two fittings, one for the fuel rail, and the other for the chemical can.
