Close to that hood at this link but not the same. The outfit American Auto Designs is no longer in business to my knowledge. Possibly some other compnay may have their mold though. Maybe someone will let you know here. Anyway, similar hood in the link below....

Thanks billarf, the last link looks the closest to me. Anyone have any experience with RamAirHood.com, perhaps I'll order the painted package.

Also, consider a steel hood. Less expensive to paint, comes with new lifts that can handle the weight. Most body shop guys will tell you to go with stell over fiberglass if possible. Costs less to paint a steel hood and usually you do not have to have the fenders blended in.

What do you guys think of this hood??

I can't find AAD (American Auto Designs), like billarf said, out of business. So I'm left locating who has the mold, the closest is this hood, IMO.

A few months back when I as looking to buy a hood I ran
across that hood somewhere. There's a functional hood
available in that style of hood though.
I like that hood!

From numerous body shop guys I have spoke with IF you go with a fiberglass hood you will undoubtedly have to have the hood and fenders painted... they blend the hood and fenders together so to speak so the paint job looks good in the end. With a metal hood they just paint the hood and that is it. Obviously less expensive to paint just the hood. Also, you have to be concerned with the increased weight of any of these aftermarket hoods regardless of whether they are fiberglass or metal. ALL the hoods way about 4 times more then the stock hood. The Reflexion stell hood comes with no lifts from what I understand so no worry about lifting the hood. A few of the fiberglass hood come with some type of prop rod which I want to steer clear of.

This outfit might just have that AAD mold you are looking for. You might email them. Fiberglassfabusa@aol.com

I don't doubt what you've been told, But I managed to have my paint & body guy do an excellant job color matching my fiberglass
hood w/o repainting fenders.

Supposedly the factory hood weighs in at 18 lbs.
My shaker hoods weight about 38 lbs.
If you need the hood and you're concerned w/ the extra weight
just lose the tow package, That sucker weighs close to 50 Lbs.
