Welcome back buddy. Looks like you're able to keep your truck? A while ago you were thinking of getting rid of it... Anyway that's good you're able to keep it. Let the mods begin! I dont know much about nitrous, just wanted to say hi.

if i had to do it over again i wouldnt get nitrous, thats just my opinion, its fun but it kind of got old for me. i use a 75 shot, never used a 35 or 40 but it doesnt seem like that would give much of a hit....
shane is was rough for a while, but yea there was no way i could let her go so did what i had to do you know, 2 jobs and school
glad to see i wasn't forgotten
yeller 916 , i live in va where it can get humid i want to use the nos to cool the air and to cure the humidity problem

You're doing just what I'd do if I had the ***** to do it. Not a huge 150 shot, but a little shot to cool the motor down. I think if the truck is tuned for it, that will help more than just the advertised shot. (ie 35-40 shot could give you more than 40 horse) I think it will act as a cooler and free up hp... You're doing the right thing, like I'd do, research all you can. Then once you have all the info, go toa tuner. Good luck, Shane
Nice to have you back ST.ELMO'SFIRE
I've become quite an expert on Nitrous and Zex.
I've also been running Nitrous as far back as 20+ yrs ago on a
Kawi Proto Type Z-1 Motor Cycle, and later through the years on differant Big Block Chevelle's. I've Never broken a Motor YET
You sound like a perfect choice for it, and YES I would recommend Zex. Here's Why:
3 wires to hook up, Power, Ground, and Signal (Signal to TPS)
I have every picture and step by step in my Gallery, click my Pic.
It's truly that simple, of course you will put a switch in line with the power wire to arm and un-arm the unit. It's triggered off a Voltage signal it gets from the TPS, this is an excellent way to trigger the Nitrous, much better than Micro Switches.
This also ENSURES it CAN NOT go on unless your at WOT.
Everything is contained in a nice pretty little purple box.
The fuel inlet is taken right off an extra (not used) connection on the passenger side fuel rail. (yes they give you the fitting too)
And it has worked flawlessly for me EACH AND EVERYTIME.
I have no suspension Mods, No Tranny Mods, no Electric Fans,
No Cobra Pump, etc... etc... etc...
Filter, Chip, 4lb, T/B, + 65 Nitrous HP= (2) 12.0's first time out
I then played around a little at my home track in May and June and ran 12.5's , 12.3's, and 12.2's (I was testing lower timing programs, THEY DIDNT WORK, it slowed me down)
I've also been spraying with it off and on, in the streets for about a yr now. After much testing on a few differant tracks, I've found 16 Degrees of timing perfect for me and my set up.
Went to JDM day a few weeks back and had Johnny Lightning burn me a few new tunes. 16 Degrees for Juice, 18 Degrees for NO JUICE. Stepped it up a bit to 6lbs of extra Pulley and 75HP of Nitrous Jets. WAM 11.81 @ 113.98 MPH and that was with a schitty *** launch, check my Vid below (rick click, save as)
I MADE NO OTHER RUNS THAT DAY
DIDN'T NEED TO
I have detailed step by step instructions + pic's like I say in the Gallery.
Good luck on your choice
Any questions, just ask

Ran my Power wire inside to a switch, then picked up
fused power from the box
(of course all these wires were cleaned up later)

Put my switch right here, the Lower switch is for a Bottle Warmer (two extra wires to hook up, if you buy one. need it here in NY)

Ran the Nitrous line right along the chassis

Used a PSP Nitrous Plate, THIS IS A MUST IMO

Once all the Wires and Lines have been hooked up, Activate the switch, then press the Black Button on the Zex Box so it can Program ITSELF. (it needs to learn the TPS Voltage) Red Light shows it's learning the TPS Voltage.

Hey rob!!
Not to get off the subject!! But I watch your video of your 11.81 run and your truck launches just like mine!! ]
What kind of track bars to you got!! I have lakewood right now. But I'm about to order the JLP traction bars! Cause after I put the stall in the whole truck seems to raise up ans then take off!!
Oh yea I'm also considering ordering a 75 shot zex kit!! How much do you think it would pick me up ! I ran a 7.88 @ 88.15 in the 1/8 mile with a 1.71 60ft!! But since then I've change to a better stall and a 16x10 wheel!
