Raced my truck at the track for the first time with no modds!

My best was a 13.53 @ 101.7mph

A lot of the guy over at the Sacramento Raceway was telling me that that is pretty good for all stock lightning. Most run a 13.8 at best on wednesdays because the tracks not that sticky and they have alot of traction problems.

My first pass was a 13.60@101.7 and then from there it got better.

Good 4 u

Good times. A little better than average. NLOC used to have a list of members' ets so you could see how the trucks were running. I did 13.3 but who knows what the humidity and temp did for u compared to mine. YOU DID GOOD.

Good numbers, better than avg.
Glad to see some numbers before the mods.

Thanks for the post!

Irwindale on Thursday nights for the best traction (1/8 mile). 1/4 mile tracks are LACR (but it's at like 3000'), Pomona (but it's only open to street racers once a month, and I heard it's so crowded you only get 1 or 2 runs in) or Carlsbad in SD county (if you like launching on gravel).

Now all I need to do is work on my reaction on traction and I believe that I could get into the 13.4ish range. My reaction when I got 13.60 on my first pass was .734 and when I got the 13.53 it was terrible like a .938 Just how well I did just really surprised me. All I have done is put a K&N air filter in and put in some Petron Plus engine condition(pretty cool stuff!). I think that I'm going to try the transmission fluid and gear box fluid and see if that makes a difference.

0light1, Rob_02Lightning and DR.D thanks compliments.

Nice times.

Your reaction time has nothing to do with your ET. You could sit there for 5 minutes and then go. Your ET does not start until you cross the line and your reaction is how long it takes you to cross the line (i.e. get started).

True- I guess all I really need to do is work on keeping traction. My last pass of the night I in fact put a 13.55 on my window and got a 13.555 but because my reaction sucked so bad I got bumped out of the bracket I was running in. Thanks for point that out though some times I speak with out think first.

My stock 2002 ran consistent 13.9xs @ 100 at Sacramento in August '02. No traction problems at all -- just hook and go. The F1s only had a couple thousand miles on them. A not-so-well-trained monkey could have easily done the job.
