I watched a fellow loose control of his car at the launch. Back and forth he went for about 360 ft. Car went sideways, flipped over on roof and slid better than half way down the track.

The driver was safe. Safe enough to crawl out the window cursing. Why???????? Because he had a cage.

I just wanted to point out here that the cage rules are to keep you safe. As we make more power, we decrease the margin for error in driving. You'll be glad you have it if you ever find yourself doing the quarter upside down.

Mature, 42 year old safety mode is now off again,
Rocks
But what happens if your driving on the street with out a helmet? You'll get tossed around in there and most likely crack your skull open. This is why the NHRA should allow for removeable bars.

Cecil and Cages

I made 4 consecutive 11 second passes, the quickest being 11.280 and they never said anything to me, closed track event must be the answer, John H.
