? about which exhaust to use.

Ok, now I finally have my L and have some money that is starting to pile up in the bank, I have been thinking about mods! Im thinking of doing exhaust first because of 2 things. I really want to open it up and hear it roar when I floor it. Also, the current stock exhaust rattles againts something when I floor it from a dead or slow start and when it shifts at WOT. It was much worse when I first got it, it rattled all time time no matter how easy I was on the gas, so I had the dealer look at it and fixed it, but does still do it some under hard acceleration. I figure this would let me kill 2 birds with on stone.

I have been thinking of getting the Bassani cat-back because everybody seems to think its bad a@@, is a great quility product, and sounds and performs great.

I have also been thinking that it may be better to spill all the beans and dish out for a complete system. The one I wound get is JDM's Full Exhaust System. There are different muffler setups I would not know which to get. Theres JDM's and the Magnaflow. Which would be best over all.

So, which system would be best to get when it comes to the quility, sound, and performance, or Best Bang for the Buck?

The L's are beast and I want mine to sound like one.

Sorry for the long post.

Nothing against Flowmaster or anything, but I heard there products are made more for the sound and not much on performance increase.

Just what Ive been hearing.

haha its funny you say that, because, every system out there except the new magnaflow makes no increase in power and even then i'm really not sure about the new magnaflow

My take on this is that Bassani, Magnaflow, and JDM all make a very respectable cat back kit-they sound good, and are good quality with rare fitment issues. Mac's kit while it sounds good, has problems with rust-I would think that salt up north would go through them like a hot knife through butter. Each has a different sound quality, so its your call as to which suits your fancy best. I have not seen VERIFIABLE PROOF yet that any of the cat back kits increase HP/TQ other than minimal gains, so your really just looking at sound quality. With that said, I prefer Magnaflow simply from a price standpoint, and that they stack up well against the other, higher priced options.

Unless I'm missing something, LFP has a better price on the Magnaflow.

Thumbs down Exhaust system lose power

Unless i am missing something here lightning comes with a good exhaust system sometimes when we are trying to get the best we lose focus the original exhaust is not bad you can lose low end or high end torgue by changing to full flow exhaust system unless your putting out over five hundred horsepower the factory tuned exhaust is ok. just my .02 worth
