Computers, Blown Engines, Chips

Could they tell if ford can plug into the comp to see what speed and rpm the engine was running at if it blew up??

If you change the whole comp in the truck, can anyone tell that its not the org comp,,

thanks

well its kind of hard to read codes after you disconnect the battery then re-connect it

no you can't tell if its the org pcm, as long as it is programmed for your key pats and year code

They will always be able to tell you had a chip if you do not substitute the ECU.

If you even want to substitute the ECU you need a friend that will re-PATS your new ECU for your key-id otherwise the new computer will be rejected.

soft codes can be erased by disconnecting battery

Hard codes can't!

Our computers do not black box run data like GM and others are doing for tattle tales now. I expect it soon in the future.

You could always buy an extra ECU that isnt programmed for your PATS and chip that.....then if you blow it up just switch the original ECU back in before service and noone would ever know
