CHIP location ????

Could someone tell me where the chip is located on a 2002 L

i'm trying to find out if the owner before me changed the chip

Not sure about the 2002's but my 2000 has the computer on the passanger side just above the kick panel.

Underneath the dash on passenger's side. All Gen II's are there.

Passenger side kick panel. You'll probably have to pull the computer to check
it. Just make sure you disconnect the battery first. Look at the end of it, if
the coating has been removed, there was a chip on it. Hope this helps.

What ever you do....say it with me..."DONT DISCONNECT THE BATTERY WITH THE KEY IN THE IGNITION!~!!!"

It will erase your PATS memory and your key will not work-you'll have to have it towed to fix

Its where everyone else said but it will be way up in there on the firewall against the side of the truck.
