Thumbs up New Best Yesterday!

I am sure you all have already heard but I hit a new best E.T. and MPH yesterday at Cecil. Got to the track at about 10:00ish. Unloaded the truck off the trailer. Check the oil and went to the lanes for a pass. Truck spun hard out of the hole(running on brand new Hoosiers) to a 1.696 60' I lifted a little bit after the 1/8th mile think maybe I should just coast thru the traps since it wouldn't be a good run(judging by the spinning) but I said screw it and nailed the pedal again. Much to my suprise the 1/4 came up in 11.56 @ 118.57! Judging by that pass I knew a good day was ahead. So I parked the truck and walked around for a bit saying "hey" to a few people and having a good time. Decided it was time to make another pass and brought the truck back to the lanes. This pass the truck was at full operating temp once I finally got to the line. Did a much bigger burnout but still had some spin going to a 1.637 60' and the 1/4 coming up in 11.48 @ 118.51! Damn now things were looking a little better. Let the truck sit for a little longer in hope of making a run with the truck nice and cool. Made my way to the lanes and ended up sitting there for about 20 minutes or so. Truck was just starting to heat up when I made this pass. Did a HUGE burnout. Truck launched pretty good but still had a hint of tire spin(not much though) to a 1.599 60' hit the 1/8 in 7.24 @ 95.71 and the 1/4 in 11.37 @ 118.82!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hold ***** was I happy!!!!!!! Fastest stock long block truck and it still ran! I still think the truck has a better 60' in it once these tires break in too. Remember, aside from the Bogarts this truck has absolutely NO weight reduction. Judging by the last weigh in of 4.992LBs I would say she weighed in at or around 4.900LBs yesterday(I am not sure exactly how much weight you drop with Bogarts though). I think I did pretty damn good. Running right up there with a bunch of built motor guys and I don't even have heads or cams and I am at full weight.
I also wanna say congrats to everyone who got a new best out there, especially to JLP, Nuno and BTJ. Who all got new bests on stock blocks also. Unfortunately not all of them run anymore. Good job guys! -Mat-

Congrads on your new best. Its sure was a great day yesterday, nice turn out and meeting a lots of old friends... I also had a personal best yesterday, It was my first run. I hit a 1.77 60' and ran a 12.47 at 109.95 mph, from there on I had a traction issue as most others did, good times but not personal bests.. Hoosiers just spinning about the first 10' or so? If you can ever attend this meet in the future, just do it... Ok later.........

PEacE...............................

Congratulations Bro! That thing is fricking Hauling *****! Holy Crap! Ya'll have that b!tch hooked up....Dayumm!

It rained here(DFW) all weekend, until this afternoon,so I didn't get to run as I'd hoped. Gonna try again on Friday night. I'm not quite as brave as you in terms of aggressiveness on the stock block, but I'm hoping for some solid 11.60-70's in good air, with a 2lb lower and 3" upper. Once again...Awesome runs man!

Later,
Rob

Thanks everyone. It was the best feeling yet, I knew at the end of the run it had to be something special. Then I got handed the slip and started screaming! Special thanks have to go out to JDM for the awesome program they have given me. Also thanks to Tommy @ Outrageous Performance for setting me up with the Bogarts. Well I had said this was gonna be my last outing on the stock long block, but what about this. Throw my 6LB lower on and take all the wieght I can out of her. Drop about 200LBs and add about 2LBs of boost. That could make for a very interesting run if it stayed together. -Mat-

Mat,

Congrats on your #s. Very Impressive.

I would LOVE to see you bust out a 10 second pass on a Stock Block. Go for it.

Has that even been done? Or is Mat the fastest with the stock block? I said it once b4 matt, great great numbers. You have one quick truck. I also give JDM credit for giving you the best tune they can, while keeping the internals in your truck, internals.
When are you going for the next run? I would love to hear you get into the 11's even more or into the 10's on the stock block! That is simply amazing! Has anyone done that before on a stock longblock? You amaze me mat. Keep it up and good luck with the truck, Shane
