Check engine light--solved!!
About 2 weeks ago my 99 L coughed, then started to run terribly. I got a CEL and the codes were "lean bank 1 and 2".
I replaced the fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, and removed the intake system to the intake manifold to ensure no vacuum leaks. I also visually checked the entire engine for vacuum line problems, etc (while I had it apart I replaced both belts, the plugs, and the air filter, installing a K&N and cleaned the I/C, S/C, and intake tract).
These did not solve the problem, so I determined it must be the fuel pump. I dropped the tank so I could pull the pump. As I lifted the pump from the tank, I realized 1 of the fuel lines had popped off its pump!!! I installed the line again, gave the other clamps an extra squeeze, and replaced the pump. She started right up and runs just like she's supposed to!! WOOHOO!!
Thanks to the list for all the great information. You guys ROCK!!
