noticable difference with a 2#?
noticable difference with a 2#?
I'm thinking of using a metco 2lb lower blower pully and moded factory air box.
Will I see a noticable power difference? About how much more hp and tq?
Btw. no chip only 91 octane around here
Thanks

I think it helped but as most do i went to the 4lb lower about a half a year after the 2lb lower. Now i have a 2lb that has been sitting in a box for a year and a half not being used. Id say go for it.
I have a 2lb'er, JDM flipchip, and K&N w/ airbox mod.
I ran a best of 13.2@105, spinning 1/2 way through 1st, with a ****ty 60' of 2.1
With a good driver, a 2lb'er, chip, and intake should net you 13 flat on an average day, and on a really cold day (40's) should net you a 12.9xx.
The pulley makes your torque curve even more flat, and the midrange punch is accentuated.
In 4th gear @ 60, you can roll into throttle and accelerate without it downshifting in the search for power.
Basically, the 2lber adds more power under the curve, and aids driveability. Get a properly tuned chip and watch how much your truck wakes up!
Personally, I would go with the 4lber because boost is addicting. I went with the 2lb because I was afraid of putting a hole in my block. However, with a proper tune, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
Besides, a 4lb, chip, and intake will net you consistent mid/high 12's.
Good luck and happy modding!

2#??
Get a 4# and a very conservative tune. It's safe and proven to be. Look at all those on this board daily driving them. The tune is the key. A 2# will make a difference but nothing like a 4# will make and the cost is the same.
just my 02

With just my 2# upper\diablo (conservative tune) and holes in the stock air box I got 377\466 rwhp\tq.
I haven't dynoed since the 4# went on but I am running low 8's in the 1\8th. Best of: 8.12 @86mph
