Need some help ! Quick Question...

Hi guys!

I have: 2lber (JDM), K&N airbox mod, and a JDM flipchip (cold/warm weather).

My chip never used to cause my truck to shift above 5300 rpm, ever.

Now, the temps hover around 30 deg and chip is starting to shift at 5800+ rpm, and has a sloppy 1-2 shift. The 2-3 shift happens at the usual 5300 rpm and is firm as usual.

Does the fact that I have no traction in 1st in this weather have anything to do with it?

I am very concerned as I do not wish to blow my engine.

Thanks guys!

Did you try resetting the chip?? If not try that and disconnect the battery and turn on the headlights for about 15 to 20 minutes so the computer will have to learn the chip again. If that doesn't do anything try calling the person you got your chip from.
