N-Tercooler

Does anyone have the new N-Tercooler currently running on the truck. I dont want to spray NOS but this seems to be a safe alternative. Checking to see what the overall feeling is on these. You can search for it on any search engine. Thanks

They are worthless on an air to water intercooler like our trucks have. It would take forever to cool the fluid down using CO2. I will be running a JDM intercooler with 7" Spal cooling fans. That will never come close to the cooling effect of nitrous.

Like they said, Ineffective in an air to water system.

I have yet to see that temp drop in 10 minutes, let alone ten seconds.

It is not possible, with our intercooler/exchanger setup to drop those temps in that amount of time. Just simply not possible.

I have done extensive testing with the N-tercooler...I am probably one of the first, if not the first, to have this on a Lightning. (since 10/02).

I use N2O, because CO2 is not as easy to get. N2O, as far as I know, is cooler.

I have 20.5 lbs of N2O dedicted to this setup. Bottle heaters allow a full 1.5 min. of run time. I have kept 'em open til empty and I have given "shots" over a 5-10min duration. I have combined this setup with two 300cfm electric fans, a pump switch, Water Wetter and the JDM exchanger. There is no way to possibly remove that much heat from a liquid (scorching hot, with engine heat soak)...even with the exchanger "iced up." All this occuring while my electric fan/H2O pump are on, engine off, to remove engine heat. not to mention no fender liners, no thermostat, and header wrap already keeping things cool.

In fact, you can't drop the temp that much if you were starting with a COLD engine....which I've done for the hell of it.

Put in a 50 shot...that's inevitably more effective.

The day Ford goes to a air-to-air setup, is the day the NX system will deliver as advertised.

The temp drops advertised with the kit assume a air-to-air arrangement...

My '93 RX-7 would see decreases of 30-40 degrees with a similar setup, combined with a Greddy front mount intercooler. The truck wont see a quarter of that.

Not only an opinion, a fact.

Still a cool phucking mod though!

Jimma, I live in Portsmouth, NH...if you need help with your L, let me know through this post.
