fresh/fast air systems
I "notice" the difference, but don't expect to be running .50 faster or anything.....the fast air kits increase airflow into the engine compartment, inturn cooler air / more air means greater hp...I added it because of that alone, not expecting any results, but i can tell you i feel it..
I did some pretty extensive temp testing using an autotap to measure my stock box intake and second air charge temp along with a JL ram air box with the scoop and without the scoop. The w/o the scoop part was to simulate an open filter.
The ram air kept the intake temps quite a bit lower than the stock or the box with the ram air disconnected. This requires the vehicle to be moving. If the vehicle is sitting still the open air element under the hood is the worst...
all in all, at the end of the day, I wanted to believe that the stock airbox was going to always outperform any aftermarket in terms of intake temps and second air charge temps, but the JL box proved it worked in the numbers...
