Back from Cecil...
Well, just got in from Cecil. Overall it was a good day for me. The bad news is we did not beat our best ET. But that's really the only thing I would consider "bad".
Since we had a brand new motor in the truck, I wanted to go easy on the truck. First pass down the track I ran the truck with no nitrous. Had the Works 140 at 26 psi, no kind of "cooler" box, 4760lbs, and A/F on the pass was 10.2:1. It ran an 11.09@123.8 with a 1.59 60ft. I was very pleased with that run to say the least. Second pass, I had a small 150 hit on, it turned a 1.53 60ft, but the nitrous was cutting out all the way down the track. On that pass it ran the best of the day, a 10.56@127. Next pass was another off spray hit, with the A/F leaned out to about 10.6, and it went 11.06@124. Tried a few more spray passes, which where all mid to high 10s, but the spray was cutting out badly down the track, so we'll have to get that fixed.
I was told the truck was leaving like an animal, and got many compliments on how the truck looked and performed. It's nice to hear that now and then, makes you feel like it's worth all the hard work.
I would like to give a BIG thumbs up to Vinnie. I raced him on my 11.06 pass. He was not there in the morning, so I had no idea he was there. Then as they were pulling me towards the burnout box, I see this BEAUTIFUL flamed truck in the lane next to me. As I drive by, I am giving him the thumbs up and look over he 's giving ME the thumbs up, lol. I still didn't know it was him since he had his helmet on, then they pulled him next to me. We make the run, and I look over at him and say to myself "who the hell is this guy who's pulling on me?". We pull back into the pits, and he comes over and said he was who I raced, and I gave him big congrats on hos smoking new best. He was not there long, but it's always a pleasure to hang with Vinnie.

Isn't that wild? Still sorting things out, going easy on new motor, nitrous not working well, driving a gawd darn pickup truck...and laid down a 10.56?????????????????????? Wow!!! Did you guys ever think this type of thing would happen? Congrats Sal, Vinnie, and everyone else!

Thanks bud,
I thought it was hilarious that you did not realize it was me.
You see me and Sal were in 2 different lanes and not supposed to race each other, So when they put us together at the last minute I was like *****. I am going to get my A$$ handed to me. Nobody wants to race a tuner.
My father was standing against the fence and everybody was going Vinnie has to race Sal.
Well I got lucky that Sal was not juicing that run and I had my best run ever and took him.
The whole day was a blast.
It was good seeing you Sal.
