Great idea if you asked me,
When V reads this, he'll prob order one

With a long proper cool down, it may not add much at the
track, especially for us Nitrous Users, but In the summer heat,
I bet this Mod would give you a major performance improvement on the streets

Don't see any $ ?

It could be a good thing since you could put it where the windshield washer tank is. But the price would be the deciding factor for me.

from reading about the gen 3 system, it is always cooling when the ac unit is on, but you had to push a button or something to activate the flow of the cold fluid tank. I assume that means that the chilled tank is in addition to the regular IC tank. Question: how do you tell the IC system to use the chilled tank vs. the regular tank, then switch back again when the cold fluid is no longer cold? (after a WOT blast, that cold IC fluid will be hot again)

I've thought about a mod like this for quite some time, but it seems to be it would require some kind of electronically controlled Y pipe so that a choice could be made as to which reservoir would be flowing at any given time.

I hope that tank has some kind of internal pump or something to move the fluid through the cooling radiator to speed the chilling process as just a radiator sitting in the fluid isn't going to chill very fast if the truck is not shaking around a bit.

Last, but not last, it would seem to me that a thermo insulated box with a styro type insulator would be much more efficient than a "bag" wrapped around it.

Make no mistake, this type of mod can work if done right and I think once the GenIIIs hit the market, someone will build a retrofit kit and the GenII folks are on their way to a rechargeable short term HP boost.

Ken,
No it doesn't have to be that involved.
It can simply be like a JLP cooling tank.
You run the Intercooler Lines through it.
When it's filled with ice, or in this case, surrounded by cold freeon filled lines, it works.
But when the AC is off (or no ice in the cooler)
then it's back to the normal cooling via the heat exchanger and intercooler and the lines simply run through there with no extra cooling being done.

I'm interested in this one, ANY MORE INFO ON IT ANYONE ????

It only kicks on at WOT.
that is the "switch"
once the fluid warms up (45 seconds or so) it will take a few minutes for the A/C lines to cool the fluid again.

45 seconds!!! Heck the 1/4 mile will only take 12!
