Question Need advice...thinking about Nitrous...

Hey guys....wazzup? I've seen that a few people on here are spraying and I was curious on what your experiences have been? Any blown engines? Pro vs. Cons....and costs associated. Can you run NOS on a stock engine? Let me know what you guys think? Also, where would be a good place to purchase one and would I be able to do the install myself? Or does anyone here want to get rid of their setup or have an extra one laying around (hard to imagine!!!). Thanks for all your help and sorry for the many questions. Later!

personaly I think 4-6 pound lowers are plenty. I have a 4# lower and a 2.8 upper (little less boost than a 6# lower) and I will not touch nitrous. As much as a 50 shot would help cool the motor down, I dont think the motor will handle it. Some do it and have very good luck with it. I just think putting the 4# pulley on was enough stress on the motor. If you do do it, I wouldnt go highwer than a 50 shot and have great trust in your tuner.
good luck, Shane

I spray
AND I'M PROUD OF IT

Is it safe ?
More blow um up WITHOUT Nitrous, than those with

Can a stock block hold it ?
Mine is, and so are many others.

Have some blown ?
Hell ya, but prob would have WITHOUT the N2O anyway

How much Boost is safe
HOW BIG ARE YOU *****

I started with 4lbs of xtra pulley + 65HP Jets
Result's--> 12.2, and (2) 12.0's first time out (at Cecil in April)
At my local track in May + June I wasn't as fast, I was running 12.3's + 12.2's, but I did "NO cool downs", and ran it hot straight off the pkwy. (never even took a spot in the pits)

I've also had lots of fun on the street with it, going all the way back to last winter, so it's just about a yr now I'm spraying.

Last time out, I turned it up a notch, 6lbs xtra Pulley + 75HP
(A little too much for my comfort), but it held together just fine
Result's--> 11.81 BABY @113.98 MPH

Remember, I'm down 50-75 HP from most, because I DO NOT HAVE any Electric Fans, Cobra Water Pump, Headers,
Exhuast, Suspension, Tranny, Motor work, Spacers, Coolers, Heat exchangers, etc....

If you go this route, well talk, theres a few safety measures you
want to take, (certain plugs, certain tune, certain gas, etc...)
Zex is the way to go in my Book.
Extremly easy to hook up, "3 WIRES" Ground, Power, and Signal.
All the pictures, step by step installation, and info in my Gallery,
Just click on my picture. The results are right there too (vid's)
""Ya I know I got a launching issue""

If you buy, (no matter what brand) do the right thing and use one of our Tuners/Vendors
I choose REM http://www.razorsedgemotorsports.com/

You can be running 11's for @ $500.00
and yes you can put it in, VERY EASY
