Doesn't the AMG have a lot more HP and Toruque than the Cobra?





I know my Doctor has an AMG S55 thats rated at 500hp!!!!! it would spank a lot of vehicles on the road.

 

Nah, I know the go who made the movie, he said that the cobra just needs a good driver.

 

my mom has the E 55 AMG, and she runs right along next to me in the 1/4 low 13's....shes stock, i got chip 2lber, intke, shift kit....its a quick car

 

Yes, the Menz has higher HP/higher torque and a flatter torque curve.

With a good driver the Benz should be in the high 12s.

The E55 is also 120 grand! Last time this was posted, I said that and the replys started poring in about it being 70K. I sat in one tuesday....it starts at 120k. Sweet car, but I hope beats a Cobra. I could OWN four Cobra's for that price.

my mom paid 74,000 for her 2002 E 55, and they are defenetly automatics...

 

Hahahaha that cobra got smoked.

It must have been the driver since we all know Fords cannot be beaten.

 

New price is $78,500. So you only get two cobras, not four

The CL55 and the SL55 are both $120....

Just me, but I'd take the Benz over two Cobras anyday.

In the September 2003 issue of Motortrend, the 2003 E55 AMG ran a 12.39 at 116 MPH. The new 2003 model has a 5.5 liter supercharged V8 with 3-valve heads, so it's a lot quicker than the old naturally aspirated E55.

The E55 is fast as hell for what it is. If you ever drive one you will remember it forever. At 120mph it is as quiet as the local library. Rock solid feel and brakes for days. The German's are superior engineers No comparison to a blue collar muscle car.
