When is it time for a C-notch

How much can i drop the rear before i need to c-notch the frame?

I was looking at get the belltech 1" drop springs with lower control arms for about 3" in the front.

And hotchkis leafs and hangers in the rear.

Please give me your ideas on this setup etc...
I want to do it right the first time since its my daily driver (trying to minimize downtime)

I don't have one but I would think that anything 4" or greater would require a C notch. I have a Belltech 3/4 on mine and it doesn't bottom out.
