Question 2 engine questions?

1) I have an oil leak coming from the engine and not to sure where its coming from. Went to the track the other night and all of a sudden I now have a leak. Gasket or what? If it is a head gasket/or what is it a big job to get it fixed? Cost? Whould I be better off taking it to my tuner or just take it to a machenic?

2) When I shut off my truck I notice a pressure release sound from the engine(after the blower blow off sound) that I never noticed before. Is this normal? Might it have something to do with the leak?

Thanks guys!

The pressure sound is normal. It's the HVAC system bleeding off vacuum. The oil leak you need to get a good light and start searching. Crawl over, under, and around every part of the engine. Is it bad? How much is it leaking? How much oil did it lose & how quick did it lose it? Impossible to diagnose an oil leak without seeing it.

if you can get under the truck with a flash light look up the right side of the motor right above the collector of the manafolds
if you see oil coming from the rear most part of the head (the last 2 or 3 inches of the head) it is the head gasket leak the ford knows about and they should do it under warrenty
it maybe a recall or a TSB i am not sure off the top of my head but i had them replace my head gasket
if you have trouble haveing a dealer do this call SVT and they should take care of it as it is a known thing on all triton engines
if it is easy enough take all mods off!!!!!!!un less your warrenty is up anyway you could still try to have them do this for ya as like i said it is a known thing to go wrong
