Question Track Vs. Street

Alright, heres the deal. My truck, & my buddies truck are modded the same, other than he has a magnaflow cat-back & 90mm maf. I've heard mixed views on these 2 mods but somethings up. At the track we run the same 1/4 & 1/8 mile times and mph, and i mean the SAME!(many times) But on the interstate he seems to pull me a little till we hit high gear & then he's gone, I mean gone! (niether turning o/d button off). My qustion is there anyway his additional mods don't help him untill after 100mph???

Just a thought maybe I'm wrong, but does your buddy have one of those grills? I noticed that they look really restrictive to incoming air... I'm probally wrong though..

No he has a stock 01 grill on his 99l, but I wouldn't think the billit grill would be blocking anymore air.

Whassup 12leavu, how you been....

I'd have to go with the 80mm vs 90mm theory too
But a little Nitrous will take care of him getting away from you

Thanks rob02, I've been fine. Thanks for all the advice you've given me in the past. This truck is definently an addiction!! I'm gonna do the 90mm next, hopefully i can find a used one..If that don't do it, a little 30-50 shot never hurt anybody.

Ive been considering that, I don't seem to have any belt slipping probs. right now though. As soon as I get some of this go-fast stuff out of the way I'll prob. make them.
