My new IC Cooler

Just hought I'd show off my new cooler
20gallon fuel cell with 25ft of alluminum coil in it.
Stock pump is running like a charm. 180 spent aint bad!

And I know my truck bed is trashed but its because of all the ash falling from the fires locally.

I take it the "coolant" is a sealed system and when you go to the track you fill the BOX with Ice.

the coolant going through the box and through the tubing is Chilled by the ice.

Is there condensation on the hose going back to the Intercooler?

What size hose did you use? Fittings?
Does the Bos have a drain to drain the melted Ice?

Is the single stock pump string enough to pump it through all that tubing or would another inline pump help out?

What about Heat Exchanger, are you using hte stock one?

what did you use to protect the lines going under the truck?
could debris puncture it?

Was it difficult to bleed the system?
how much coolant does it hold?

This is one of my winter projects, that's why there is 100 questions

for anybody thinking of making their own "PowerCooler" check out Reichard Racing, they make a trick aluminum filler opening/cap assembly. It is larger than normal. It even says "for water only". That was my one beef with the JLP powercooler, the opening was so small that it was a real PITA to refill with ICE. the RR cap is substantially larger and should make filling much easier. I just checked their website and couldn't find it, but I saw them on display at MIR a couple of weeks ago.

later,
chris

I-menace
1. The box is a sealed system

2. I am not getting condensation on the lines

3. The drain plug will be going on 1 of the plugs by the tailgate.

4. the pump seams to be working like normal if you look at my resivor its a moroso can so to check I put my fingers in befor and after and the presure feels pretty much the same.

5. I do have an aftermaket heat exchanger. I think it helps as a combo.

6. The hose's running under the hood next to motor I put thermal wrap on them. And after that that they are bare tuked up close to the frame and body. I will be puting some type of sheild eventualy.

7. Didn't pay attention on how much more coolant I used. But I did add a new can of Water-Wetter.
On the bleeding I think its self bleeding there really is no where I could get air pockets?

As for the the filler cap on the cooler I have a funnel cut to fit the opening just right and the top an 10inch opening so I shouldn't have to much trouble for know. And will upgrade if I find a better filler cap, I'll look into that cap thanks Superfords
