Exclamation Hopefully this is nothing to worry about

Just changed the oil for the first time on my truck (2978 miles). Started her up, drove for about 5 miles, filled up the with gas, and then headed to the highway. Got on it pretty hard, but after i got into 4th and was doing about 75-80, the truck lurched, as if i had tapped the brakes or something (like the engine had seized for a second). I slowed down to like 45 and exited. Drove like a girl all the way until about a mile from my house, hit it again, this time no problems.....Everything was by the numbers, Motorcraft 5w20, 6 quarts (exact amount that came out of the truck). Is that normal??? Has anyone ever had that happen before? Should i be worried, or am i just a freak....thanks for your help in advance....

Bad gas? Prematurely clogged fuel filter?

I have also noticed this too... kinda feels like a tooth in the rear end is missing or something? It feels exactly like tapping on the brakes! It was happening before I changed my fuel pumps to 255's, and it still happens. Changed my fuel filter at the same time as the pumps, and it was happening before I changed my fuel filter... I just can't figure it out! Could it be tranny related?

Yeah i'm thinking the same thing. It's probably your torque converter just locking up. Happens to me all the time.

Could that have anything to do with bigger tires and no recalibration for the gearing? Im running 295/40/20 tires opposed to the stock 295/45/18 tires with no chip...
