Need Help from the Video Guru's

Can anyone convert this Vid into a MPG
from a AVI ???

I have plenty of video programs but none will split it into photo's
unless it's in MPG format.

I did it to my cecil vid and ended up with over 1500 pictures
"frame by frame shots", but being this is a AVI I can't do it

If anyone can help me out
you can email it to
rob3832@optonline.net
THANKS
Here's the vid

Rob_02Lightning 11 Second NOS Pass!

You may have to do the "Save As" trick

Doing it now ... sit tight for a few minutes ...

On edit, n/m, can't do it. The file's actually a WMV file format. If you can get me an actual AVI, I could covert it.

Cool launch though.

Rob I've got it converted to mpeg1 & mpeg2. But they blew up pretty big. (35mb zipped)
If you want a link? I'll post it for you to grab. Just e-mail me at wydopnthrtl@yahoo.com

Ok now... What rpm did you launch at? Looked like it hopped a bit off the line. Just curious......

Thank You So Much Rich, Mad House, EVERYONE

As for what happen, here it is
I loved my truck tracks and have had nothing but GREAT 60's with them since day one. I've even pulled 1.8 60ft's and consistant 1.9's on F-1's. Since the Hoosiers got added to the equation the 60's immediately went to 1.6 and have been extremly consistant.
However at cecil when I ran the (2) 12.0's the little hop I would have on a Launch now turned into a violent launch. On 1 run I had to get off on on it TWICE due to the hopping and bounching.
But it still runs consistant 1.6's (with a worse 60ft time of 1.7) on the Hoosiers and TT Bars.

Before English Town I upped my Nitrous tune from 65 HP Jets
and 4lb of Pulley, --> to 75HP jets and 6lbs of pulley.
(I run 6lbs 24/7 on the streets, but usually race with only 4lbs)
I knew that would give me the 6/100th's of a sec I needed and a little more since I wouldn't be trying it at Cecil
(Cecil always adds ET)

So with that added power I re-adjusted the Bars, shimmed them, and had them closer than ever before anticipating a problem with the extra Torque and Power. Then to add more Launching prob's
I tried less air pressure than ever before in the 28x10 Hoosiers,
usually i run 18/19, this time I tried 16, BAD CHOICE

YOU ALL SAW THE RESULTS,
ugly ugly ugly
BUT I STILL GOT MY USUAL 1.6 AND A KICK *** UNEXPECTED ET

and thats the story

Oh Ya to answer your question Rich

I launch EVERYTIME from dead idle
foot on brake
when it's time
I stomp that SOB to the floor as fast and hard as I can
it has netted me great 60's everytime that way, and I'm
sticking with it

BUT WITH NEW BARS

Thanks Rich
I just converted the Vid into 1628 Pictures

Clarity of pic's sucks but it showed me what I thought
At initial Launch the rear squats down nice
(just like it should)
but then the torque of the TT Bars pushing "up" on the chassis then apparantly lifts the rear waaaaaay up in the air.

The power is being thrown back and down as it should,
But the Bars are now working against me and lifting the
rear wheels up so high, they actually hop off the ground a sec.
Thank god they work well keeping the rear from wrapping,
but unfortunatly now my own torque is working against me,
and isn't no longer a good combo with slapper bars.

My theory on it is, with the extra 75 HP of juice it's quite the large amount of power and torque on the initial launch. (WOT)
With KB's and built Motors and Cams, the power is coming on all through the run at diff stages and RPM.
With me, I'm kinda launching all my power at once.

Rob, you know my set up...............do you think I will have a problem with the TT's (as in working against me) ? I have them installed without shims, just plan bolt on.

D-Day

No Dan I think you'll be fine even know your faster.
I truly think my prob is the initial AND INSTANT extra HP and Torque due the the 75 HP of Nitrous
