They don't add any HP, they cut down on on the amount of HP used to drive them, and more importantly, the e-fan lowers the engine's rotating mass for quicker throttle response.

Do a search, this has been covered many times.

I like my JDM kit.

IMHO

The 4.6L water pump (aka: Cobra) is unnecessary and presents cooling issues in stop and go driving. BTDT. not again.

the cobra water pump doesn't have the mounting stuff for the clutch (stock) fan so it is less rotating mass for the engine.
when you install E-fan the "cluthc assembly" from the stock water pump will interfere (maybe even hit) the Electric Fan.

FYI
Josh at motorcity mods has the best price on Cobra Water pumps.

I had no such issues with room, in fact I just went out and measured it and I have a little over 1 inch clearance. I installed the LPF e-fan and have been very pleased with it!

I don’t know, but I have had a cobra water pump (and electric fan) on for the past two years, for about 25K. I have logged up to 21 assorted readings obtained from the “Drive right Car Chip E/X” That I purchased almost immediately after I got the truck! (I download the data in one-week intervals, and select what items are going to be studied/analyzed/Plotted and charted, can only select five at one time!)

Now I drive in Houston Texas, a lot of stop and go (opportunities for a lot of squealing) HARD DRIVING! And have driven the 610 & highway 8 beltway loops, “Perfect high speed roads” The temperature has never deviated far from the 170 deg thermostat. Now this is hard stop and go traffic, and hard fast 130 MPH down 288, or pegged the Speedo down beltway 8.. In the middle of the summer “Typical 90+ days, easy”.

Not once did the pump or fan deviate much above or below 170 deg..
