I painted my calipers this weekend and...

I also installed a Metra Powered Antenna.
Cut twice, measure once!

Goodtimes... can you say "Crumple Zone"!

Sealing hole into cab with Marine Goop (good stuff).

Just need one final adjustment and the cap I had painted can be installed to cover the screw holes. Eventially the cap will be removed and the hole with be frenched.

Calipers where painted with the Eastwood kit. Good stuff... nice and thick.

Plan on getting my friends buddy over soon to weld some support brackets around the antenna to get some support back.

The Eastwood kit (Eastwoodco.com)
Cost about $34, I used the whole kit for just the front calipers. Took about 4 coats until the caliper was completely covered. Stuff is real thick and self levels as it drys. I plan on buying another red and black kit. The red kit will be used for the rear caliper and touching up the front. The black kit will be used for areas on the rotors you can see threw the wheel spokes.

Yes, once mixed you have a 2hr working period before the paint starts to harden. The paint must then set for a full 12hrs to fully cure. So your truck will be down for a full day.

That came out nice for brush on paint.

Konig - go to http://Eastwoodco.com and type in caliper paint in the search, they've got a decent selection of colors to choose from.

mine has been holding up pretty well so far, I used the high temp engine enamel...its been about 5 months or so without any problems. The red color will be nice and easy to keep clean, mine arent bad but I have seen that type of paint before and was wondering how good it was.
