8lb lower or 6 lower & 2 upper combo

I just wanted see if anyone is running an 8lb lower or 6lb lower and 2 upper combo. I am currently running a 4lb lower and 2lb upper on a stock short block and considering adding the 6lb lower, however do not want to compromise for just a little gain. Also any times with these combo's and longevitiy? Thanks in advance!

I plan on running a 9.5" Lower, and 2.77" Upper on my truck, but then again I have a built bottom end...

I wish I had a built bottom end but do not. If I did I would not be so concerned. Fast Gator, I was not going to switch just to a 6lb lower, but run a 6lb lower with a 2lb upper. I am using an REM 2.77 upper and a 4lb lower currently. I am thinking that the gain may not be worth the risk. Just wanted to see if anyone was having luck with this set-up.

Hey Shane, my best 1/4 mile time is a 12.48 @ 108 and 1/8 mile 7.86 @ 87. The 12.48 was under warmer conditions and a 1.77 60' in FFW in Ennis. I have all standard stuff except headers or catback meaning chip, pulley, TB, ftvb, high flow cats, elec fans, ported pleneum, traction bars. I am still running the stock 3.55 gears.

I forgot to add Iam running an extra 1 lber on top
But I run the large JDM heat exchanger with Spal fans to "help" dissipate all the heat Iam generating with the Eaton. I might not be efficient, but I can bang out 11's all day long on my stock block, stock eaton and stock converter all day
