Phenolic spacer

I purchased one but have not installed it yet. Keep reading some positive and negative stuff about it which I know is typical of any part. Just wanted to see how many are using it, gains or loss they had and if there was any clearance issues. Thanks in advance for you time.

only gain if you are using the eaton and not the KB

no clearance problems unless you use a 1" and not the standard 1/2"

keeps the plenum cooler

it works as it is designed to.

the intake is cool to the touch ALL the time.

Hot summer days, the intake is ambient temperature, no where nearly as hot as the engine though

I have a JDM phenolic spacer installed on my Kenne Bell and it has worked great for over 3500 miles now. I think alot of the problems people are having are due to faulty installation.

The phenolic in combination with removing your EGR will keep your plenum even more cooler....

I'm as worried about a warranty on a $3000 blower as I was a $30,000 truck when I put a built block in it with every bolt on you can think of with only 20,000 miles. IMO If you can't afford to play the game, don't put your chips on the table. If it breaks I'll buy another one.

This was my experience with it also. I run a 6 lb lower and my plenum use to get so hot after a pass or two you could fry an egg on it.

With the spacer it is only warm after a pass or two. I did not dyno before and after, but the cooler plenum seems like it would translate into a cooler air charge. I am happy with mine.

It works! I did a bunch of testing with a very high $$ infa red temp gun. I forget actual #'s but the plenum dropped like 20-30 degree's.
