Chip missing contact, normal?

Chip missing contact, normal?
Hey guys well i just pulled my chip for cleaning today and noticed a couple of things. I noticed that on the trucks pcm there are 15 contacts, and on the chip i have from sal, there are 15 slots for contacts; matches up perfectly.
The weird thing is that on my chip there is 1 contact out of the 15 missing; so there is 15 slots but only 14 of them have metal contact clips in them. Is this normal??

Yep, its normal.
Diablo and Autologic chips have one contact missing. Superchips have all 15. A representative of each chip is sitting in front of me on the bench.
