I have a Quick question a friend of mine is going into the Ford shop soon and wants to borrow my ECU Chip cover it has a bar code on it is there anyway they can tell its not his by what scans on the bar code or is that for another purpose??

the dealer shouldn't have to go that deep in. You do not want to loan the whole pcm though there will be more issues if you do that.
