Towing with a 2/4 drop?????
Towing with a 2/4 drop?????
I'm thinking of doing a 2/4 drop. But my concern is about towing a car trailer. Has anyone run into any problems with this setup and towing?

I too have dropped my L almost 4 inches in the rear.
What I did was buy a air bag kit from Summit Racing.
Ask them for the kit for a lowered Lightning, the kit is onlt $175, install it yourself.
This way when you tow you put some air in the bags which lifts the truck as high as needed, up to 9 inches and gives extra support.

Player, unfortunately I am the only person in the U.S. without a digital camera.
SSC, yes mine pretty much bottoms out with a load.
I removed the second spring up from the bottom which also makes it bottom out easily.
You are supposed to keep 10 lbs. of air in the bags at all times so they don't get damaged by bottoming out.

do the bags effect the stiff ride quality when not inflated? I like it to stay nice and stiff...I dont like the mushy feeling bagged trucks have.

These don't replace your springs, they just give support if you have a lowered truck and need to lift it to haul something.
They would even work in a non-lowered truck to keep the rear end up if you were hauling something real heavy.
The set I have are 2500 lb bags.
They are small about 4 inches in diameter and about 5 to 6 inches tall.
