My best day as an L owner.....so far
My best day as an L owner.....so far
My son and I (both driving the L in different run groups) attended the driving school at Texas World Speedway this last weekend (www.thedriversedge.net). Edward from Austin was the only other Lightning in attendance. All I can say is you other L owners in the central Texas area really missed the boat! This was the most fun I've ever had with my clothes on! Diving into turn one at over 120 mph will flat pucker up the sphincter. I'm sore as Hell from holding myself in the drivers seat. For $270.00 you get to run four 20 minute sessions per day (with an instructor in the passenger seat). I did get signed off to run solo in the last session and it was almost like when I soloed in an airplane......no one to tell you when you are screwing up and going to fast into the turn. One of the coolest things about the weekend was that the two L's were the topic of conversation with everyone (even though there were some of the baddest cars on the planet in attendance.....Vipers, BMW's, Audi's, WRX, Vetts, Aston Martin, Ferrari's, and just about any thing else you could think of). Sorry to go on and on but this is the best value I have ever found for going fast. Hope to see some of you at a future event.

I have most of the parts you mention. I have the Roush lowering kit, Hellwig anti-sway bars, Stan's panhard bar, and lift bars. I do need to find a place to get tires and wheels. Any ideas? Most people could not believe the L was doing what it was on street rubber. I would also like a four or five point harness. Any ideas?

Since you obviously passed the driving school exam, hope your harmone levels stay under reasonable control...we dont want to see you on tv's "police pursuit"...outrunning the police but not
the Motorola...glad you had a good time...here in Atlanta they offer some high speed courses and defensive driving courses...

He got me my F1's GS/CS at a pretty good price.
If you think the Bolt performs well on street tires,
just wait til you put "R" compound under her.
I guarantee you will add 25 MPH to your Turn #1
speed ...
PS... Yup the regular F1's are NOT all that bad ...
especially in the rain ...
