Thumbs up 2 years / 20k miles!

I have had my Lightning 2 years to the day.
I still get all excited when I drive it, which is every day to and from work and most weekends.
The most fun and reliable vehicle I have ever owned!
Only problems (very minor) have been the clunck (easy fix) and a belt chirp.

Could it get any better than this...
Awesome acceleration!
Damn good looks!
Hang pretty frik'n good in the turns!
Tows my boat and great for Home Depot runs!
Cheap to insure!
The whine!
Great board like this to read and share my excitment.
I could go on...
I love this truck!

I have the FTVB and a K&N and I am VERY satisfied with it for now. Once it is paid off in one year and out of warranty I will do more mods and maybe even get to the track...

Well you might as well mod it now that you voided the warranty with that K&N anyway.. j/k

Put a 4# pulley and the 1715 programmer that plugs into the diagnostic port and you can return it to stock for service...no evidence of a chip and a night and day performance difference

Scott,
Works out to $59/month for the L
I pay $113/month which includes $54/month for my wife's Chevy 1500. I'm 29, no tickets, but I did have two totaled vehicles from a flood in 2001. I'm insured with Allstate.

Red, You have some great points. But personally, I service my L myself it has never had to go to the dealer, not a concern for me.
If I did mod now and something breaks due to the mod, I would not expect it to be covered under warranty.
The way I look at it... once it is paid off in a year and I get rid of the big payment (0 down 0% intrest). I can afford to mod and if I break it, I can afford to fix it and still get a cheap car to get to work. Plus I really enjoy my L as it is now, I know a chip and pulley will really wake it up, but most likely get me in trouble with the law.
