Talking Tried out the Long Tubes tonight at 1/8 mi. track...

Went to 1/8 mi. track tonight (Kennedale for those of you familiar w/ DFW area). I ran there 2 weeks ago, air conditions very similar to tonight...mid 60's, 50-60% humidity, Barometer @ 30 inches. Previous best was 7.62 @ 89.8mph. Best 1/4 (@FFW last month) was 1.66, 7.65 @ 89.5, 12.05 @ 112mph.
Only difference now is the Long Tubes and had JL burn a flip. A/F on "hot" side is 12.2:1. Anyway, needless to say, I can't wait to gett 'er back to a 1/4 mi. track...I believe she's in the 11's Here's the slip...

60'....1.622
330'...4.837
MPH...70.97
1/8....7.491
MPH...90.69

The ole Long Tubes seem to be workin' pretty damn well. Money well spent in my book. I'm looking forward to becoming the newest member of the Lightning 11 Second Club! Thanks again JL, for all your help.

Peace Out,
Rob

The rods seem to be hanging in there. I believe the 5200rpm shift points are aiding that cause, at least some. I'm just really enjoying all this newfound power. This damn KB, just fricking ROCKS!
JL, Good Luck at E-town tomorrow .

Later,
Rob

Rob, you ought to come over to Hallsville this weekend for the Lightning Shootout. 90% of the TALON club's best times are at Hallsville. The other 10% just hadn't ever ran there yet.

J.D.,
Man, you have no idea how much I WANT to come to Hallsville on Saturday. However, one of my best friends is getting married on Saturday evening, and I'm a groomsman. I will be there for the TALON Fall Classic in December.
Goodluck Bro!

Do your friend a big favor, tie his **** up in the back of your truck and bring him to Hallsville. He is about to completely screw up his life.
