Hemi Owned!
I didn't catch the whole commercial, but I heard "Has that thing got a hemi?" question. By the time I got to the TV it showed a 04 F150 outpulling a Dodge hemi, both with trailers. I gotta see the whole thing...that's been my dream commercial for the L (well, leave out the trailers, and add a little tire smoke.)
That commercial ROCKS!!!! Its the dodge pulling the charger or what ever it was....and the 04 F150 pulling an old GT-350 (I think) and he roasts the dodge! The funny part is...the guy in the hemi is a dead on look a like of the guy that actually does the dodge commercials!
HI!... Ya those HEMI's are a joke! I *owned* one on the weekend. This guy pulls up to me and starts throwing revs at me. The light turned green and he floored it. I rolled out quick and nailed it too. The time I got to the top of my 1ST gear the HEMI's was like 5-6 truck lengths back. I hit 2ND gear and pulled on him some more and he then gave up. This happened twice and he finally gave up and turned off before the next red light. I guess he didn't want to lose 3 times in a row!

I think that commercial is kind of deceptive. I doubt a 300HP F-150 is going to out gun a 345HP Dodge. Been far more credible if they had used a Lightning - and why didn't they? Course I own a Plymouth, a Ford and a Chevy Corvette. I don't have any brand loyalty - except for what ever goes fast.
SVTArk, you've got to remember what the commercial was about. Each truck had a trailer with a car on the back. The idea was to show the towing capability of the new F150.
I heard when Ford was getting ready to release the new truck, at one of their press gatherings, they had pulling contests between the new F150 and all the competitors vehicles (including Toyota and possibly Nissan). Each was hooked up tail end-to-tail end. The F150 had no problems pulling any of them around the track.
