Stall converter or 4.10 gears??

I've been tryin' like hell to get my '03HD F150 into the 12's.
I've got just about all of the "Bolt-on" stuff,Putting down 409RWHP and 522RWTQ.I've run a slew of 13.0's [best of 13.008]at 103-104.5MPH,consistant 1.85 60's.[On Hoosiers]
Granted temps out here are still in the Mid 90's,Eneryone tells me to be patient and wait for cooler weather, but I feel the need for a new Mod!
For those of you in the know..
Which is a more noticable Mod?2400-2600 Stall converter or 4.10 Gears??
Gotta get ready for FFW Next month!
Thanks for any input!
-Dave

yes it is the one they advertise for factory tech even though it was not done by gregg however gregg did say there was nothing wrong with the converter and was a good desing, however he "gregg" gave me one of his 2600 stall converters so now i have a spare. but it was plenty for the lightning, aaron

converter defineteley. i have a p.i.2400 but go with whichever u would like. i know the p.i. has a triple disc lock up and i think ft is a double disc. i heard at one time f.t. unit was a little better than stock but if u want all out go with p.i. (just hear say i guess but thats what i heard from people when i was researching this). i love my p.i. 2400 from experience though. very very streetable also. a friend of mine has a p.i. 2800 in his harley and he loves it. i havent rode in it so i couldnt give my opinion on it. hope this helps and good luck on your quest for the 12s.

I dont know about 60 foot times, but a good converter will knock at least .3 to .5 seconds off your 1/4 mile e.t.

i vote stall. most people have proven with a little power you can run out of rpm by the time you get to the traps. thats why sal is running stock 3.55's

Dave,

Long time no talk!!!! I can tell you this; when I put a Stall and Nitto's on the SS it was good for about .6 in the quarter. Not sure on the L or HD though. I would think the gains would be MUCH greater than going from 3.73 to 4.10.

By the way, i'm getting the itch for another L... HHHEEELLLLPPP!!!
