FYI, MAC trans pan

Though they don't want to admit it, they are having problems with their castings for these pans. I have been in the metal business for 20 years (sheet fab, welding, foundry, machining, etc.) And upon first inspection I was concerned about the porosity of this casting. Sure enough, after careful installation I discovered a hairline crack in the pan. This being said I must say the way the problem is being handled by them is a much more severe problem. Just thought you all should know.

saleensc,

I'm not familiar with the "MAC Pan". Which one is it and who offers it?

I'm interested in knowing since I'm in the mkt. for a trans./diff. finned aluminum setup.

Thanks,

Ronald

MAC has never been regarded as a top-level producer of quality products. This is unfortunate because it leaves many with sub-par products on their cars. Due to the "generic" nature of MAC's "made in taiwan" products, I would give up on customer service, and just go buy a moroso transmission pan.

They are offered by several venders. RPM outlet being one. At first I thought I had fell victim to another RPM horror story but upon contacting MAC in person, it was indeed them who was to blame. Businesses can only be as good as their suppliers. I do not recommend you purchase this inferior product. Buy the Motorsports or Moroso pan and do yourself a favor.
