Which spark plug??????????

I just ordered a new flip chip and 4lb pulley from JLP and he told me that I needed to get the Denso spark plugs part number IT22, I was wondering if there is a real difference between the Denso and NGK?

Also I looked on NGK's website and they don't list a part number for the Iridium plugs, does anyone happen to have a part number for the NGK Iridium plugs?

Thanks

I like the Densos over ther NGK's but just because of what I read. I also have no experience with the NGK Iridium plugs but I know the IT'22 work for me with a 6#'r so thats what I am going to stick to.

I ran the NGK-TR6's in my Lightning with a 6# lower and 1# upper the entire time I had it with "0" problems. I also run
them in the new Cobra with "0" problems.
They are a whopping $1.39 at Auto Zone, verses the $9 Densos.
Do the math and decide.

I'm getting confused here reading all the post from a search that I did, with my mods (SEE SIG) and also a new JLP flip chip and a JLP 4lb lower pulley what plugs would you guys recommend. JLP said to get Iridium IT22's Denso's but its not something that i can get locally and was wondering if it is necessary to run Iridium plugs or is there a copper plug that will work just as well?

Thanks for your guys help

I Don't know about hte NGK's but i know that the densos work. I personally would go wiht the iridium plugs ot be on the safe side. Also on the price difference between the the NGK and the Densos, you get what you pay for.

One more try.
I ran the cheap @ssed NGK-TR6's with the 6# lower and 1# upper, Air Force 1 intake, line-mod valve, and so on and so on.
Full weight truck ran 12.3 @ 112 mph consistently. Also got 17 to
18 mpg on the road. NEVER,NEVER, NEVER had a problem.
Hey, its your money if you want the Densos buy them. I also wear off brand clothes, but thats my choice. To me $10 bucks for a set of plugs makes more sense than $10 a piece. Especially if the results are the same.

I went with the BR7EF's on the recommendation of a number of people here, plus reading a whole heck of a lot. Use the to find out more information. Most people running 4# and higher have the 7's, as they're 2 ranges colder than stock, and provide for a little more insurance.

I find they run REAL stong, the idle is a little bumpy, but not horrible. They work well with my 6# and chip ...and they weren't $70 for a set!

...OR you can stick to what plugs your tuner told you to put in. JL knows what is programmed on your chip, nobody else does.

BlwnSVT, I certainly respect John's opinion! I started with the Denso's and tried the AR93's, but I have to cast my vote for the Beru's the S1K's. In my opinion they are very similar to the Denso's except they are more durable and I definitely noticed a difference in throttle response!

Hey they are less expensive too, $8 bucks a pop.

If memory serves me right, I bought mine from Sal at PSP. He had them on my front door in two days.

Question

And, while we are all talking of plugs, what gap do we think is best for a stock (except for 4 way chip and filter...) 2000L when using the NGK TR6's?

When you refer to the S1K's you are referring to the nology S1K's correct?
