Dynoed Long Tubes and new Flip Chip from JLP today....
After jonesing for a set of Long Tubes for a while now, I finally gave in and bit the bullit on a set of KOOKS LT headers that JDM had sitting out on the table while at FFW here in Dallas last month. With the addition of the KB, I figured they'd help lower cylinder pressure, and build more power in the process. Well, to sum it up...she picked up 15 RWHP across the ENTIRE rpm band and 25 RWTQ across the ENTIRE range as well (and with less boost to boot!). I was pleased to say the least. This is with a still conservative tune(even on the "hot" side), due to the stock internals. The Peak #'s were...
B4...472 RWHP....After...487 RWHP
B4...560 RWTQ....After...585 RWTQ
She ran a string of 12.OHS at 112 plus MPH at FFW here in Dallas in 70* air a few weeks ago, before the Long Tubes. I'm hoping that she'll go 11's next time out. Reckon we'll see
Thanks to JL for helping me to get the tune where I wanted it to be
I couldn't be more pleased. Just praying she'll stay together for me.
Later,
Rob
