The owner flew in from norway to see us tune the truck on the dyno..we were very pleased with the results. The owner only wanted a 92-93 octane program(street) for Norway, So we decided to keep the boost levels down. The truck still had the gas in it from norway.(92-93 oct.) @ 13-14# of boost the truck made 575 hp! and 600 ft. lbs. of trq!... And this was on pump gas! We did change the pulley to get 17-18 # of boost i turned the tune WAY back to be safe and the truck responding with almost 600 RWH! The owner was floored and i must say i was very impressed also.. we put the 14# combo. back on and called it a day! The truck will be leaving for Baltimore harbor in a few weeks...This truck is going to really surprize alot of Norwegions!! here very soon!.... JL

Congrats on the numbers Johnny! That's very impressive for pump gas. I do have a couple of questions. What e.t. would you expect of this combo with slicks and tractions bars on a full weight truck? Also. how much power and torque would you expect to lose with everything the same except running stock exhaust? I am seriously leaning towards that combo on my truck.

From what I have heard and seen at the local shop, the JLP engine combination totally rocks.

Seems like JL has customers worldwide, not only does someone crate their pristine L over to PA from Norway for JL to work his magic to it, but there is someone in Sweden getting the exact same combo.

While others are hanging their hat on a list that is as reliable as Paris Hiltons Diaphram, JLP keeps doing his thing and has fast and consistant Lightings, Harley's, and Cobra's all over the world.

BTW, mine is still in one peice and running well.

jody, I would expect that truck should go low 11's @ 122-125 with that combo. we had 1 @ Cecil last week with the same combo *Full* weight and it ran a 11.0 @ 125 with a 1.72 60 ft! the track just wasn't hooking.. i would expect the same combo with *stock* exhaust would greatly down play the power output. due to the fact our heads and cam profiles work *best* with LTH and free flowing exhaust. However the power this setup would still produce on a *stock* exhaust would still be Amazing! probably would slow the truck to a mid 11 sec. range. thats just a guess due to we havn't tested that paticular setup. if we can help give us a call 717.786.4670 JL

Thanks Johnny, I'm looking for a solid mid 11 second truck. Not 11.999!!!!!!!!! I know the exhaust is a negative, but I love sneaky fast! It's quite possible that the ideal combo due to the exhaust might be a different cam profile anyway.

The other thing would be that the race side of the chip might give me a couple of tenths also, maybe into the low 11's. Of course then I'd want 10's!
