Couple questions about FTVB install
Couple questions about FTVB install
I went out and bought 7 qts of Valvoline ATF Dextron III/Mercon fluid last night (got 4x4 pan w/ftvb) and a $30 torque wrench from Advance Auto... this morning I looked at the wrench box and it says it does from 120 - 960 inch lbs. Here are my questions:
1.) The FTVB instructions say to tighten the internal bolts to 80-100 inch lbs... is 120 in-lbs too much? IE I need to return the wrench and go to sears to find a better one.
2.) Can you convert in-lbs to ft-lbs? Ex 120 in-lbs = 10 ft-lbs (for the pan bolts)?
Just want to make sure before I touch my truck. Better safe then sorry.

2) You are correct, just divide by 12.
