Testing the payload capacity with a 3/4 drop!!
I didn't feel like making multiple trips to the store, so I went ahead and put all my new hardwood flooring in the back of the truck tonight. After putting it all in, I realized it was probably a little too much. I figure each bundle weighed in at roughly 50 lbs. With twenty bundles of oak, I probably had about 1000 lbs in my 2002 truck. If the truck were stock, I probably would have been ok. Being that I have the Belltech 3/4 drop installed, the ride was a little rougher than I usually prefer.
Anyone else push their payload capacity like this?

That is a significant amount of plywood in that last pic!! I didn't have too much trouble until I tried to get in the driveway. I can barely get over the end of the driveway as is, since I have the Belltech 3/4 drop and JL traction bars hanging way below the truck. I couldn't even get close tonight. Even worse, the truck was so low in the back that the tow hooks bottomed out on the end of the driveway as well. The elevation change is no more than 4-5" from the street to the driveway, so you could imagine how low my bumper was.

SCRAPE
I have the belltech 3/4 on my 2000 L and once in a while I will scrape the driveway incline with my trailer hitch plug (which hange about 1 1/2" inches lower than the hitch itself) I cant even imagin having a large payload in my bed, I would be leaving a trail of sparks like the lowrider cars.
to both of you, fast and useful is great, exactly why i want one of those, i mean your not doing it all the time, but its nice when you can.
