For all you bling*bling ballers, shot callers......

Interesting How-To That Works!

There is an easy to "acetone" your emblems by way of "Berryman's Brake Cleaner" or "Prestone Brake Cleaner" spray. Simply spray the cleaner directly onto the emblems and the black paint just runs off. It gets in between the letters without having to use a bag of cotton ***** or a pack of q-tips either.

It WILL NOT harm the paint at all, but I would recommend you tape a plastic trash bag around the emblem so most of the excess runs onto the trash bag or down the plastic to the floor, and you have less to wipe off the paint. When done wipe down with detail spray or soap and water. Then buff the emblems. We witnessed this at PG Series and the asked us not to tell . So you did not hear it here-lol

Just wipe the paint down after your finished We did both side emblems and back one in 15 minutes if that. We will post pics tomorrow here and in our gallery of step by step and to show you it will not harm paint at all!!

Took less then five minutes to do one. A can costs ~$1.99 and it almost takes two cans for all three emblems!! Just keep spraying the emblems until the black runs off.

DTL-16 laquer thinner does the job very easily also. Probably five minutes per emblem. Also takes off paint scrapes etc off with ease.

I thought I was the only one. No offense to anyone that's done it... if it's your thing, it's your thing... But to me, the acetoned emblems turn what was a cool-arsed badge into what looks like a big chrome, shapeless blob on the sides of our trucks.

I like it the way it is... I wouldn't change it. To each their own I guess...

I did mine the with the q-tips and acetone took me about 1.5 hrs for all three emblems. I like it a whole lot better. I thought the same way that it would be to flashy but after doing it, it just looks very nice. I am glad I did the plunge........ Oh and my wife even likes it better. That is always a good thing coming from her

Well...Just another reason that black is the best color. Our emblems come the color of the truck from the factory.
