Do chipped computers need reset often?
I have noticed lately that there is a big difference after I reset my computer (unplug the battery) in the performance of my truck. After a few days without resetting the computer, I notice the shifts becoming less and less firm, and more stock-like. The difference in power isn't really noticable.
After I reset the computer, the firm shifts return and all is well.
Is this normal? Does the PCM "adjust" the program in order to try to "optimize" it, like it would without a chip?
I am running a Superchip flip chip by the way.
Thanks guys!

I unplug my bat about once a week and the shifts seem to not fad away as they do when you dont reset it very often. I guess it could be called over doing things but i have plenty of free time.
